June 2025 Newsletter
Dear Nevada County Democrats,
We’ve got a full month ahead—packed with opportunities to take action, build community, and shape the future of our local Democratic movement. Your participation is vital, whether you’ve been with us for years or are just getting involved.
Democracy Workshop – Forging Our Future
June 24, 6:00–8:30 PM (doors open at 5:30 PM)
Location: Nevada County Media, 355 Crown Point Cir, STE D, Grass Valley
The Nevada County Democrats are searching for a new headquarters—and we want your input! Join us for an engaging, interactive workshop where participants will help envision the future home of the Nevada County Democrats. Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or brand new to the organization, your ideas and suggestions will help shape the path forward!
No Kings Protest
June 14, 2:00–4:00 PM
Location: Intersection of Brunswick & Sutton
Join us for the “No Kings” mass protest, sponsored by NC Dems, Indivisible, and the Democratic Women of Nevada County. Protest signs will be available at the Bank of America parking lot. To ensure everyone’s safety and preparedness, especially in the event of counter-protests, we strongly encourage you to watch this De-Escalation Training video: https://youtu.be/_Pgmn9QRr48?si=MknHElNVZo0Ikf1p
Men's Club
The Democratic Party is losing men, especially younger men under 40, to the Republican Party. To address this locally, we’re launching a Men’s Club: a space for men to connect, discuss issues that impact their lives, and build community. We’re planning engaging outings like rock climbing, visits to the Sacramento Train Museum, and volunteer opportunities.
If interested, email us using "Men's Club" in the subject line: Email NCD
Fundraising for Our New Headquarters
For years, our local Democratic Party has operated out of a small, hard-to-find office. It’s time for a change—a more accessible and visible space reflecting our movement's strength and momentum. We need a place that welcomes volunteers, inspires action, and grows our presence.
We’re working to cover $3,000 per month in rent and overhead. So far, we’ve raised over $1,000 in recurring monthly donations. If 200 people each give $10 a month, we’ll reach our goal. Will you be one of the 200?
Prefer to send a check? Make it payable to NCDCC, write “monthly recurring HQ donation” in the memo, and mail it to:
