July 2025 Newsletter
No Kings Rally in Grass Valley, CA - June, 2025.
Dear Nevada County Democrats,
Summer is in full swing, and July offers plenty of ways to get involved, connect with others, and help grow our local Democratic movement. Whether you're new or a longtime supporter, your participation matters.
No Kings Day A HUGE Success
Four thousand attended the No Kings Day rally in Grass Valley. The next nationwide rally is scheduled for Thursday, July 17, in honor of the late John Lewis, who famously urged people to get into "Good Trouble."

Democratic Women of Nevada County
We are deeply saddened to share that we have lost our dear friend, Ellen McDonald. Ellen passed away recently at the age of 79. She touched many lives in our community as an activist, photographer, and a school psychologist at Nevada Union High School. Rest in peace, dear friend.
***
Join us for a spectacular celebration at the 4th of July parade in Nevada City! We're excited to showcase our beautiful new banner alongside your vibrant signs. If you would like to be part of this lively vent, we need at least 20 enthusiastic participants to join in the fun!
Men's Club
The Democratic Party is losing men, especially younger men under 40, to the Republican Party. To address this locally, we’re launching a Men’s Club: a space for men to connect, discuss issues that impact their lives, and build community.
We’re planning engaging outings like rock climbing, visits to the Sacramento Train Museum, and volunteer opportunities.
If interested, email us using "Men's Club" in the subject line:
Fundraising for Our New Headquarters
For years, our local Democratic Party has operated out of a small, hard-to-find office. It’s time for a change. We need a place that welcomes volunteers, inspires action, and grows our presence.
So far, we’ve raised over $1,000 in recurring monthly donations. If 200 people each give $10 a month, we’ll reach our goal. Will you be one of the 200?
Prefer to send a check?
Make it payable to NCDCC, write “monthly recurring HQ donation” in the memo, and mail it to:
